Delayed or Missing Packages Policy

SSV does our best to watch every package to make sure it is delivered on time. If you notice your package is not moving in transit, please notify me so I can pay extra attention to it. All processes below are dependent on the package not showing any progress for a minimum of 2 business days. If the package is showing movement and is just delayed, there is no process SSV can take to speed it up.

SSV is NOT responsible for delayed or missing packages once in the possession of the carrier. SSV has no control over when the carrier delivers after pickup. SSV has no control over the Delayed/Missing Mail procedure. These are procedures that are set by the carriers which must be followed. SSV STRONGLY recommends shipping insurance on every package. SSV will do everything in our power to assist you in locating your package.

Missing or Lost Package Process

Route Package Insurance (Highly Recommended)- The business day after the expected arrival date, a Missing Mail Search can be initiated. SSV can not file a claim for 5 business days after the Missing Mail Search is initiated. Claims can take up to 10 business days to be approved. Once approved, a replacement or refund will be issued based on what the customer requests.

For USPS- Missing Mail Search can not be initiated until the day after the original expected delivery date or 5 business days after shipping for Priority Mail or 10 business days for 1st Class mail. Once the search is created, USPS requires a minimum of 48 hours for the search to take place. SSV can not file a claim for 15 days after the ship date. SSV is a small business and can not send new items until the claim process is completed. Per USPS, this can take up to 45 days. If you need your items sooner and are willing to take the chance that the package will be found and the claim denied, SSV will resend your order at cost. SSV will only charge the cost of the materials and the additional shipping cost to you for the replacement items. If the package is deemed lost and the claim approved, SSV will refund the additional cost to you. If the package is found and sent on to you, the additional cost will NOT be refunded. If you are requesting a refund instead of a replacement, you must wait until the Claims Process is completed. SSV will issue the refund within 2 business days of receiving the claim approval. If the claim is denied and the package is found and sent to you, no refund will be issued.
